Akash Weds Snigdha

A deeply personal project where I used Framer Motion to create a digital invitation that felt alive. It's not just a webpage; it's a choreographed experience with music and animations that guide guests through the couple's story.

Description:

Akash Weds Snigdha: A Digital Story

Most wedding invitations are just pieces of paper or static PDFs. For Akash and Snigdha, I wanted to do something different. I wanted to build a digital invitation that actually told their story through motion, music, and interaction. It wasn't just a website; it was a digital experience for their guests.

The Vision

I used Framer Motion to choreograph the entire page. As you scroll, the story of how they met and their journey together unfolds with smooth animations. I also integrated their favorite music to play in the background, creating an emotional connection as soon as the page loads.

What I loved building:

  • Choreographed Scroll: Every section has its own animation that feels intentional and smooth.
  • Music Sync: I built a custom audio player that stays in sync even as you move through the site.
  • Guest Interaction: I added a simple RSVP system and a map that guests can actually use to find the venue.

How it was built

I focused on making it feel "alive" rather than just a page with text.

The Experience

  • Animations: I spent a lot of time fine-tuning the timings in Framer Motion to make sure it didn't feel "jerky."
  • Responsive Design: It looks just as beautiful on a small phone screen as it does on a big desktop.
  • Personal Touches: From the color palette to the choice of fonts, every detail was chosen to match the couple's personality.

The Tech

I used Next.js because it allowed me to build a fast, SEO-friendly site that still had all the complex animations I wanted. The styling was done with Tailwind CSS, which made it easy to keep the design consistent across all devices.

Status

This was a personal project for a real wedding. It’s a great example of how I use my technical skills for creative storytelling.
